LaMichael James a Standout in Recent Dolphins Scrimmage

ESPN.com Miami Dolphins beat writer James Walker recapped a recent Dolphins’ scrimmage on Friday, and former Oregon Duck LaMichael James was a standout in his eyes.

James is trying to make the 53-man roster for the Dolphins after spending most of last season on the practice squad, and according to media reports in Miami, he’s doing well. Walker says James has been a pleasant surprise through the first week of fall camp, but he took his biggest step to making the 53-man roster with his performance in the scrimmage.

According to Walker, James led all Dolphins running backs with 41 yards rushing on nine carries. According to Walker, his best run was a 15-yard spring up the middle.

James also worked on special teams, thus increasing his value for the Dolphins.
